Redmi is set to introduce the Note 13 family of smartphones to the Indian market on January 4, a date that has been anticipated for over a week now. However, until recently, it was unclear which models from the extensive lineup would be making their way to India.
Today, Redmi’s Indian division has disclosed one of the expected models by officially naming the Redmi Note 13 Pro in its latest teaser posts on social media, along with launching a special promotional website for the upcoming device.
The dedicated webpage for the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G confirms that the device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, the same as its Chinese version, marking it as the first smartphone globally to use this SoC. Redmi has also confirmed the phone will have a glass back, and additional features are set to be announced soon.
While Redmi teases the public with what to expect, we can speculate that the Indian model may share identical specs with its Chinese counterpart. If this is the case, potential customers could look forward to features such as a 6.67-inch 120 Hz OLED display with 1,800-nit peak brightness, RAM options up to 16GB, multiple storage sizes, a high-resolution triple rear camera setup, a capable selfie camera, and a robust battery with rapid charging capabilities
