Honor has unveiled the Tablet 9 alongside the 90 GT smartphone. This new mid-range tablet is designed with a focus on multimedia consumption and content creation, appealing to users interested in these activities.
The Honor Tablet 9 boasts a slim and lightweight all-metal design, measuring just 6.96mm in thickness and weighing around 555 grams — with the Soft Light variant slightly heavier at 559 grams. Available colors for the tablet include White, Blue, or Gray, and it comes with several storage configurations, varying from 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage, to 12GB RAM paired with 256GB or a hefty 512GB storage option.
At the heart of the Honor Tablet 9 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, an efficient 4nm system on a chip featuring an octa-core processor that includes 4 Cortex-A78 cores and 4 Cortex-A55 cores.
The tablet is equipped with a large 12.1-inch IPS LCD display, offering a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a brightness level of 500 nits. It incorporates an anti-glare glass etching technology capable of reducing reflections by up to 98%. The display is recognized for visual comfort, boasting a certification from the Winning Bidding Institute and a TÜV Rheinland clearance for its non-reflective properties, low blue light emission, and flicker-free experience.
For those who prefer writing or drawing on their tablet, the Honor Tablet 9 can be enhanced with a special screen protector referred to as the Soft Light. This accessory simulates the texture of paper, thereby improving the stylus experience. Additionally, the Honor Notes app offers convenient features like voice-to-text conversion and drawing templates.
The audio system on the Honor Tablet 9 is formidable, featuring a setup with two microphones and eight speakers to create a true surround sound environment. The tablet also incorporates a proprietary voice enhancement algorithm by Honor that effectively minimizes noise and improves voice clarity from recordings.
The robustness of the Honor Tablet 9 is further emphasized by its large 8,300mAh battery, which supports 35W fast charging. It runs on Honor’s own MagicOS 7.2, a custom UI based on the Android 13 operating system.
The Honor Tablet 9 is now available for purchase, starting at a price of CNY 1,599 (approximately INR 18,600), with an introductory discount of CNY 100. Price points for other configurations are CNY 1,699 (around INR 19,800) for the 8/256GB model, CNY 1,999 (close to INR 23,800) for the 12/256GB variant, and CNY 2,199 (approximately INR 26,200) for the top-end 12/512GB version. Honor cautions that stock is limited, hinting at potential high demand for the device.
